Neurodivergent people supporting each other

Being neurodivergent makes it harder to manage your mental health. We can help.

Through lived experience, we support the mental health of neurodivergent people, raise awareness and save lives.

Improving mental health for neurodivergent people

Proper mental health support can help with emotional dysregulation and issues with executive functioning - common problems associated with ADHD, autism, dyslexia, dyspraxia and other neurodivergent conditions.

We focus on earlier, preventative support — helping people make sense of what they’re experiencing, feel less alone, and access appropriate help before distress escalates into crisis.

What we do

You might be here because…

People come to neurobetter for many different reasons, including:

  • feeling overwhelmed or burned out
  • struggling but “getting on with things”
  • trying to understand how neurodivergence affects mental health
  • looking for support that feels accessible and non-judgemental, for themselves or someone they support
  • wanting to know when — and how — to seek further help

There’s no right way to use this site, and no expectation to read everything.

Reassurance
This content is intended to provide comfort and validation. While we hope it helps, your feelings are valid regardless of what you read here.

You don’t have to be in crisis to deserve support
Early support can matter, even when things feel manageable on the surface.

How we help

Everything we do is shaped by three connected elements:

Information: Clear, accessible explanations that help people understand their experiences and options.

Regulation: Gentle, non-clinical tools that can help reduce overwhelm and create breathing space.

Connection: Support for feeling understood and less alone, through shared understanding and careful community-building.

The neurobetter team all have lived experience of neurodivergence and mental health issues, or of supporting people who do. We are charity leaders, wellbeing specialists, researchers, and technologists.

neurobetter is not a crisis or emergency service, and we don’t provide diagnosis or therapy. We’re clear about what we can and can’t offer because clarity and safety matter — especially in mental health support.
